Headquarters Tavern was established in 1904 in the mining and logging town of Mineral, Wa. The town, originally known for its unusually heavy untouched timber and mining of many valuable minerals, is now being discovered as a terrific tourist destination. The town of Mineral is located on the shores of Mineral Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in this state, and home to perhaps, the grandest view of Mt. Rainier. The lake is known among fishermen as one of the best, if not the best Trout Fishing Lakes in Washington.

Headquarters is conveniently located on Front Street just as you pull into town across the street from the lake front campground. The Tavern has earned a reputation for serving very cold beer and some of the best pizza in Lewis County. The Tavern was the first of three and was originally labeled as a Pool Hall / Barbershop. The two additional saloons were built soon after and have since burned just as the entire town has a couple of times over. Headquarters Tavern continues to be recognized as one of the few remaining original structures in the once thriving logging town of Mineral.
